OUR SETUP:
Zach & Maggie designed a modular show that fits many venues. Smaller intimate venues often require them coming as a duo, and larger venues lend themselves to a larger sound, thus adding drums, bass, and/or keys will bring more energy, and also more cost.

VENUE:
When choosing a venue, the Zach & Maggie show does best in places that encourage a listening audience as opposed to background music. The key elements needed are stage-facing seats in a quiet space, quality sound, and stage-focused lighting if possible. We have a small sound system suitable for an audience of up to 150 that is possible to bring when driving (not available for fly dates). So that should open up some options for more unique spaces. Currently our crowds average 30-100, but they have been steadily growing with some events with great promotors reaching 250+ for a ticketed show.

HOUSE CONCERT:
The best advantage of a house concert is they feel very intimate and full. It's not required to have a large space. Just enough for the two of us, a small sound system, and the community you want to invite into your home. The average House Concert attendance is 30-40 people but we've done smaller before :) Some hosts prefer a private concert for friends, and others prefer to open it to the "public" so our fans in the area have an opportunity to attend. The host of the house concert provides lodging in the form of either a spare room and bathroom or a hotel.

SHOW FINANCES:
For an acoustic duo show, a nice result is $1000 plus any unique travel costs (e.g. lodging, routing). Some hosts pay the full rate outright, but others ask for suggested donations or "tickets" from attendees to offset the cost. In that case, we ask for the host to guarantee at least $600 then the tickets/suggested donations work against that guarantee. Usually, the donations earn more than the guarantee for small house concerts meaning the host only had to invest their time and no costs.

CHURCH CONCERT
Churches love our decades-long connection with Getty Music. Though we don’t play an evangelistic-style show, the churches that have hosted us have said our show is a "wonderful choice for a church to host a community or congregational family night where laughs, stories, and music allow them to share some relaxing fun as one body."

TALK & PLAY
Zach & Maggie are regularly asked to talk and play music for high school and college students of all types. The talks have ranged from an overview of Nashville session musicians to folk-style blending and instrument-specific workshops. Christian schools enjoy drawing from our experience in worship-leading and hymn arranging concepts as well. For schools that have a chapel service, we often assist in the music for that event. After the days events, we finish with an evening concert for the students.
